Our first talk of the 2018-19 Autumn Programme is taking place on Tuesday 18th September at Lakes College West Cumbria: Mammoet – Introduction to Heavy Lifting Mammoet believe that their business is about time: uptime, turnaround time and time to market. To their customers, time is the currency that matters most. That’s why they strive to bring their customer's deadlines forward. It’s an integrated, daily effort shared by everyone at Mammoet, in every aspect of the services they provide: creative engineering, careful planning and safe delivery. That’s how they literally "move time" for their customers. So time isn’t set in concrete. Or forged in steel. It’s not even all that heavy. And yet, it’s the biggest thing Mammoet can move for their customers. HKA Free Breakfast Seminar: NEC – A Spirit of Mutual Trust and Co-operation… and a Few Disagreements

27th September 2018

Twenty-five years after its first publication, the NEC contract continues to spark debate regarding the contractual interpretation of key clauses. They will debate some of the intricacies and subtleties within the provisions of the contract in respect of:

  • The Accepted Programme – who benefits when it is out of date?
  • Mitigation/acceleration – what to do… and when
  • Assessing delay under NEC4 – the impact of the new ‘dividing date’
