We have an IMechE West Cumbria Area talk on Thursday 14th April at Lakes College West Cumbria:
Decarbonising Bricks and Mortar: Using property as a springboard for low carbon technology adoption.
The UK’s property and construction industry is a huge contributor to the country’s carbon emissions. Pioneers from across the sector are working to reduce and reverse the negative impact buildings have on our environment. At this event you’ll hear how one local property firm, BEC, is putting low carbon at the heart of its development and hear case studies from two major projects: the installation of a smart energy microgrid at Westlakes Science Park, and the development of Whitehaven’s North Shore with low carbon aspirations.
Book Your Place - Decarbonising Bricks and Mortar
The talk begins at 19:00hrs prompt, with registration and tea/coffee available from 18:30hrs.
Regards,
David J Williamson CEng FIMechE
