Hanna Somatic Education Weekend
In learning how to release neuromuscular tension, experientially, you can free yourself from rigid postural and movement habits and other constraints that bind your thoughts, feelings and actions. Hanna Somatic Education is a novel learning context in which you are verbally guided into sensing proprioceptive feedback, arising from intervals between stillness and movement. By slowing down and focusing your attention in the moment of movement, you gradually gather valuable information, internally, about yourself that was previously held unnoticed. You actively engage a different part of your brain and become more self-aware, so, practically, you have functional ability greater than before.
