The BECBC Member Meeting will be in the auditorium at ENERGUS
(Energus is at Blackwood Road on Lillyhall Industrial Estate, Workington, Cumbria CA14 4JW)

Networking and coffee from 9.00am to 9.30am
Main meeting 9.30am to 11.30pm, including one coffee break and a free networking lunch (kindly sponsored by the University of Cumbria)

  • Developments in Project Management Education and Training at the University of Cumbria with Ian Sinker and Andy Gale

At 1.30pm in the  Encompass Suite the University of Cumbria will be running a short interactive workshop which will explore in more detail how the University is supporting industry through Higher Education Project Management Courses and Degree Apprenticeships and will also look at the implications of Chartership for the future of Project Management qualifications and training. All BECBC members welcome - no booking required.

This month we collected food donations for the:

West Cumbria Wheelie Bin Challenge – Bringing business and the community together

On the 29 June a number of BECBC  members will be taking part in the West Cumbria Wheelie Bin Challenge, this unique event will see eleven teams walking 20 miles for charity sponsorship whilst collecting food at local schools for Northlake’s Foodbank.  The aim is for the teams to collect 2 tonnes of food to assist North Lakes Foodbank with their summer campaign.  They would like your support at this BECBC Member Meeting to kick start the food donations, after the meeting Energus have agreed to host a donation station up until the event to further assist the campaign too.
