With over 3500 pages of content in the Scottish Citizens Advice website, there is a large volume of changes required, and the breadth and depth of advice sought by citizens from our service is increasing.
The current horizon scanning and content development processes are currently undertaken manually. We believe that a solution that automates elements of the process of horizon scanning and content development, and which is capable of scanning vast amounts of data from various sources in short time periods, will ensure that this trusted source of information is sustainable and accurate in the long term.
From an initial assessment this solution would have two functional parts:
Horizon scanning and information gathering
Pulling content from a range of trusted sources to automate the information gathering stages of content generation. Scanning for future legislative changes and scheduling and programming content changes.
Building on the first function, we would like the solution to begin the process of drafting advice content using a set of rules based procedures. As content is mainly factual, informative content this would lend itself to being automated.
We believe that bringing these together to automate the process of factual content generation has not yet been developed elsewhere to date and is truly innovative.
The format is a networking lunch, presentations from CAS and Can DO innovation challenge fund & Q&A.
