UKTI Event: decommissioning and clean-up at Fukushima

Dr Keith Franklin, First Secretary (Nuclear), UK Trade & Investment has been on secondment from the NNL to UKTI at the British Embassy in Japan, looking at ways in which the UK can support the decommissioning and clean-up efforts at Fukushima Dai-ichi.

He’ll provide a briefing on the UK response so far, the current situation with regard to Nuclear Energy in Japan, and what opportunities there are for UK companies to supportdecommissioning, both at Fukushima Dai-ichi and other plants which will come off-line in the near future.
