Britain’s Energy Coast Business Cluster currently has a number of active Sector Groups and there are plans for at more to reflect its growing and changing membership. The BECBC Sector Groups are for members only and provide an invaluable forum for businesses to meet others in their industry, to find out about trends and opportunities and to share information and knowledge with potential partners, clients and suppliers.
The TotalDECOM Hub is a unique supply chain directory, subscription & events service that offers organisations from all sectors in the decommissioning marketplace, a unique opportunity to learn, connect and do business.
Britain’s Energy Coast Business Cluster meetings are held every month and are a great opportunity to meet other members. Other BECBC events include monthly training workshops, the BECBC Business Awards and other networking events, as well as specialist Sector Group meetings.
Business School Engagement Events enable students to gain a better understanding of the world of work as well as meet local employers who are members of the cluster. The Charity Page signposts you to some local organisations.
NSAN/Knowles - Succesfully Administering an NEC 3 Contract - Haydock
This particular form of contract is becoming increasingly popular with Employers and is perceived to be a contract that stimulates effective Project Management. It was the chosen contract to deliver the London 2012 Olympic Games. The NEC 3 contract is different from other standard forms as its conditions focus on managing risk, and assessing the cost and time effects of change at the time of the event. As such, the valuation of change is very different, in that the effects of compensation events have to be forecast. If this contract is not administered properly, it can cause significant problems for contractors and employers alike if ‘claims’ are advanced retrospectively at the end of the project.
This course can attract up to 50% match funding through the Give2Gain programme.
