Peter Cotterill BSc (Hons)
Peter is a qualified, practical engineer who is equally at home in a workshop or Boardroom. During 40 years manufacturing experience, initially with technical roles as Design Engineer, Quality Engineer and Production Engineer, he moved through Production management to Board positions in three companies. He led the Management buyout of MPE Limited and for the last 20 years has worked in worldwide Aerospace and Defence markets with a passion for developing export business. Since leaving the Oxley Group in October 2013 Peter has worked as the Cumbria Business Ambassador for the International Festival for Business 2014 and is a founding Director of Supply Chain Cumbria Limited.
Mike Farnworth MA (Hons) MSc MCIPS MCMI MIC
Mike held senior procurement positions in BMW Group global purchasing. He was a key player in the BMW Group management team tasked with achieving post-merger synergy and process harmonisation, and led the purchasing operations activity at the Oxford MINI Plant. Combining consultancy and training activities in procurement and supply chain, Mike has developed and led improvement programmes across sectors. He has participated in the following programmes: DTI National Supply Chain Group Assessment Panel; SMMT Industry Forum Action Group; Birmingham Chamber Accelerate Partnership & Executive; Northwest Automotive Alliance Supply Chain Group; MAS-NW Supply Chain programme; and as a Merseyside Automotive Group Board member.
Clare Farnworth BSc (Hons) MCIPS
Clare spent more than twenty years in the automotive industry holding purchasing management positions with Rover Group, BMW Group, Jaguar, Land Rover and Aston Martin divisions of Ford’s Premier. Her most recent role was to manage the purchasing of new project activity for the Aston Martin DB9 and V8 Vantage. Clare now leads Xemptor’s work in the field of sustainable procurement. She has developed the CIPS Level 5 Graduate Diploma qualification in Sustainable Procurement and co-authored the original course study guide. She was also appointed Senior Assessor for the discipline in 2009.Since 2011, Clare has been a member of the CIPS Certification Advisory Board and Chair of the Board of Trustees at Furniture Matters, a charitable training, re-use and recycling organisation based in Morecambe. In 2012, Clare became a member of the Northwest Automotive Alliance Board.
