Baines Wilson hold employment law seminars
Advice on how to deal with rise in employees asking about information held on them
Baines Wilson, one of the north west’s leading employment law specialists (a BECBC member), is holding employment law seminars for local businesses and HR professionals.
With the news that 71% of organisations have seen a rise in their own employees making official requests to find out what personal information their company holds on them, experts from Baines Wilson will offer advice on how to cope with this sharp increase in subject access requests (SARSs) under GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
The seminars will also cover other key areas of employment law including whistleblowing, the latest in discrimination law, a look at the Good Work Plan as well as an update on case law and latest legislation.
Joanne Holborn commented: “Not only is our work environment changing fast, so is the legislation that surrounds it. In these seminars, we outline what you absolutely must do as an employer or HR professional to ensure your business is fully compliant with current employment legislation.”
The sessions will be hosted by employment experts Joanne Holborn, Tom Scaife and Caroline Rayner and will take place on Tuesday 8th October at The Swan Hotel, Newby Bridge; Thursday 10th October at Lancaster House Hotel, Lancaster; and Tuesday 15th October at Rheged, Penrith. They are from 09.30 – 12.20 with registration at 9am.
