Exyte Hargreaves’ Melissa Lee wins at the BESA 2019 National Awards

Melissa Lee, second year apprentice welder at Exyte Hargreaves’ main site in Greater Manchester, collected the trophy for Apprentice of the Year in the category, Heating and Ventilation Level 2, at the 2019 BESA National Awards. The award ceremony and BESA’s annual conference were held at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel in London on 21 November 2019.

This followed success earlier in the year at the BESA North West Regional Awards, which led to Melissa being shortlisted for the National Awards.

Melissa, currently in year 2 of her 4-year apprenticeship, is a graduate of Exyte Hargreaves’ EYTP (Engineering Young Talent Programme), which helps to nurture an interest in engineering in children at local schools and colleges.

Exyte Hargreaves is a BECBC member.
