LINC with DDP launched on the BECBC website

Launched at today’s Sellafield Ltd Directors’ Forum (19 March), LINC with DDP is now live via the Business Cluster website.

LINC is a scheme that encourages SMEs at local and national level to collaborate and deliver innovative solutions to the mission of Decommissioning Delivery Partners (DDP) in the work they deliver to the Sellafield site.

Work packages that set out some of the challenges will be published in the coming months but, for now, the team at Sellafield Ltd is keen to encourage companies to register via the online form and ensure that they have everything in place in time for those first work packages.

“We are delighted to be working with Selllafield Ltd on this initiative,” says John Grainger, Stakeholder Relations Director for BECBC.  “Martin Chown and Emma-Jayne Gooch of the supply chain organisation spoke at our March meeting and are keen to encourage local SMEs to get involved. They not only recognise our place in being representative of the supply chain here in Cumbria but they also see that we are sufficiently independent to host LINC with DDP in an open manner. The aim is to encourage its use by SMEs and enable them, ultimately, to collaborate and contribute to effective decommissioning at Sellafield in the coming years.”
