NuGen Chief Executive, Sandy Rupprecht made a keynote speech at this year’s UK Nuclear Skills Awards in Manchester.
The evening, which celebrates the achievements of young apprentices entering the nuclear industry, and acknowledges the professionalism of industry trainers and HR departments in encouraging them, drew an audience of more than 450 industry employers, training providers, and leaders.
The event, now a firm favourite on the nuclear calendar, was the seventh annual awards night, and this year NuGen were main sponsors.
The awards nights was held during the 2015 National Apprentice Week, and was hosted by TV presenter Ortis Deley.
Sandy Rupprecht invited attendees to “enjoy an evening of inspiration, as we celebrate the achievements of young people joining our industry.”
“NuGen is happy to sponsor this excellent event in the knowledge that as we develop, we will embrace and support the commitment to excellence in training and careers development exhibited here. We should celebrate the motivation of these exceptional young people.”
The Skills Awards are organised jointly by the National Skills Academy, (NSAN), and Cogent.
