Supply Chain COVID-19 Update from Martin Chown, CEO of Sellafield Ltd

Martin Chown has sent the following message out to the Sellafield Ltd Supply Chain:

At Sellafield Ltd we are following Government guidelines regarding self-isolation and the conditions of doing so for 7 to 14 days with the NHS guidance on symptoms. We also recognise these are exceptional circumstances and we want to make sure our supply chain remains viable and our people are retaining a salary to protect them from financial hardship.

We want to make sure those with symptoms do self-isolate and don’t feel under pressure to come into work due to financial constraints.

We expect all our suppliers throughout all tiers of our supply chain to pay their staff basic wages during the 7 – 14-day period of self-isolation. This will be an allowable cost in these circumstances.

The Sellafield site and offices remain open and operational, we remain focussed on our mission and we want to maintain progress on all work fronts.

As the situation develops we will issue further information and consider specific support alongside the extensive support recently announced by HMG.
