BECBC - Membership Renewals Update 2021

Please find below an update from Charlotte Penn, BECBC Director about membership renewals for 2021:

Dear BECBC Members

We are contacting you regarding your BECBC membership renewals, which no doubt you have noticed were not sent via post on 31 Dec, as usual. In line with our new website development we are making BECBC membership renewals digital.

The new system of joining online will have several benefits outside of the obvious time saving and environmental ones, including being able to pay your membership by card and set up auto renewals for our longstanding members who re-join on an annual basis.

As of the week commencing 25 January 2021 your main named BECBC member contact shall receive an email from Hazel with a link to go online and set up your membership. If your main contact has changed/or left the company, or is not the person who should be arranging membership, please get in touch with Hazel by 5.00pm on Thurs 21 Jan 2021, with the contact details you wish the email to go to.

From this email you will be able to follow the link to go online and select your membership and pay via card or request an invoice for BACS. Once payment has been received we will move your account from the old website into the new one and you will get a new access password, enabling you to login. Through the login you will be able to:

- Update your member profile, logo, and contact details

- Add additional users for your company

- Manage your email preferences

- Access tender opportunities

- Access the document library, including presentations from past events

- Utilise the member forum, where you can create and comment on blog posts, encourage collaboration and, even better, communication across our membership

To give members time to pay their membership and set up their logins we will not be moving the tender opportunities or document library behind the login access only until the 1 March 2021.

We appreciate that members have had a tough year and that 2021 has not started very positively for many of our members. Considering this we have not increased membership fees for 2021.

If you would like to remain a member of BECBC, but are currently undergoing financial difficulty due to the current climate, please contact Hazel to discuss how we can work with you. Our management of membership has gone digital, but our approach to working with you is still the same friendly service you are used to.

We appreciate that this is a new system for our members, as it is for us. We ask you to bear with us for any teething issues which may arise, and please as always use the feedback button on the homepage of the website to share your experiences and let us know if we can improve in any way.

We hope the new website and the launch of the member forum will make doing business across BECBC even more accessible during these difficult times.
