LLWR – Coronavirus (COVID-19) Supplier Communication

Below message from LLWR issues 17/3/20:

In light of the current situation regarding the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus LLW Repository Ltd is taking a series of measures to minimise disruption and protect our employees, customers, suppliers, and stakeholders. This notice provides a summary of our approach to key areas of how we will do business during this period.

Service Continuity

LLWR will continue to work closely with our customers and suppliers to minimise disruption as far as possible.
Therefore, LLWR are requesting suppliers to notify LLWR as soon as practically possible regarding any disruption to services and inform us of any possible impact to capability or capacity.

LLWR will be monitoring the situation daily and will endeavour to communicate any impacts to either our suppliers or customers at the earliest opportunity. We will work proactively to make alternative arrangements wherever possible.

Below details LLWR’s current continuity planning, please could we ask our suppliers to provide details, at your earliest convenience of any restrictions and business continuity plans.

Business Travel and Meetings

LLWR has decided to restrict travel to essential business meetings only. We will continue to monitor the situation and take risk-informed approach should things change.

We are aware that several customers and supply chain companies have already implemented travel restrictions on their personnel. This may mean that certain face to face meetings or workshops may have to be conducted by teleconference or postponed to a future date. We will endeavour to inform parties as far in advance as possible of any changes.

Business Continuity Planning

In line with current Public Health England guidance, LLWR is reviewing its business continuity plans and implementing a series of measures across the business to protect our workforce. These include:

- Increased cleaning and hygiene measures across our sites

- Review of home working arrangements for our staff in the event this is required

- Ensuring all employees are briefed on current NHS and Government guidelines with regards

to self-isolation and travelling from specified countries

- Suspension of site tours and visits

The wellbeing and safety of our employees, customers, suppliers and stakeholders is of the highest importance to LLWR. These measures are intended to enable LLWR to continue to deliver waste services to customers with minimal disruption during this period. We will continue to monitor the situation and take risk-informed approach should things change.
