NW Works4 U

NorthWestWorks4U - a new virtual jobs fair in the UK

North West Works 4 U is a FREE Digital Job Fair Event.

A fantastic opportunity to explore some of the employment options & choices if you are looking for your first job, a new job or if you find yourself having to explore a change in career direction!

The event NorthWestWorks4U is a unique partnership between the DWP, Jobcentre Plus North West, North West Local Enterprise Partnerships and the region’s major private sector employers.

The organisers have sent the following info:

We are bringing people together who wouldn’t normally interact with each other in a recruitment environment. We are challenging traditional approaches to recruitment by valuing attitude, life skills and potential – not just the qualification.

It will be an employer led virtual jobs expo that will be broadcast over 6 – 8 April. It will showcase at least 5,000 vacancies all in growth sectors and advertised to an audience of at least 20,000 local neighbourhood job seekers in the North West. On top of that there will be support and employability content giving easy to understand practical advice, hints and tips for getting a job.

It will broadcast from a channel developed in the North West by a company called Jobs Live, that allows for live interaction, content delivery, as well as hosting thousands of job vacancies – all at the same time.

What’s in it for you? First there’s the satisfaction of being a good neighbour and taking part in something genuinely ground-breaking. But you’ll also be getting access to a huge pool of untapped talent – people with the drive to succeed, with a different perspective, who can add fresh talent and thinking to your business. All at no cost to you!

We expect this unique event to generate a lot of interest and coverage in the region. Come and be a part of it!

What we’d like from you is to pledge a small percentage of your overall job vacancies for your company at our Pledge Day on 24th February. We are aiming to get 101 employers in the North West on board. Hopefully, many more.

If you would like to participate or would like to pledge job vacancies, please get in touch at or alternatively, you can complete the interest log and email back to myself by 18th February

For more initial information please visit where we’ll be adding information as we get closer to the Pledge Day.
