Top Tier rankings for Baines Wilson in Legal 500

Legal 500, the leading guide to law firms in the UK, has recognised Baines Wilson (a BECBC member) as one of the North West’s leading law firms, with the guide recognising four practice areas, all of which are core departments for the firm. Three Partners from the firm are also recognised on the elite list of ‘leading individuals’, the only specialists in Cumbria to be listed in their fields.

The firm’s Corporate, Commercial Property, Dispute Resolution and Litigation are all recognised in band 1 for the North/Carlisle, and the Employment team are recognised in band 3.

The Commercial Property team have received a significant accolade in this year’s edition. They are the only firm to have two members (Sean Logue and Duncan Harty) listed as leading individuals within the Real Estate section (in the relevant jurisdiction). They have been praised by their clients as being “…Prepared to go the extra mile to meet deadlines”. Always offering ‘common-sense advice’ with a ‘deep understanding’ of property transactions.

Elizabeth Black is also recognised again on the elite list of leading individuals in the firm’s dispute resolution and litigation team. Elizabeth is commended for her ‘great command of a case’ and as ‘somebody who clients at all levels enjoy dealing with’. Client’s highlight the team’s ‘great attention to the detail’ which ‘gives it a real edge over other teams.’
