This BECBC Sector Group is active across all aspects of nuclear decommissioning, waste and storage developments and has a vision to improve the commercial positions, enhance business opportunities and build decommissioning and waste management capabilities in companies in West Cumbria. The Group is proactively building links with parallel projects beyond Cumbria’s borders. Meetings are often held at a member site, so that attendees can tour facilities and learn more about what the capabilities of those within the Group. The prime objective of the Group is to create opportunities by collaborating and sharing market intelligence on future work streams and by creating a forum to discuss alliances and co-operation in delivery. It’s a vibrant group that’s active in a rapidly developing and very important sector.
Members are encouraged to share relevant information and build partnerships and alliances within the Group so that members can also raise the profile of Cumbrian expertise and suppliers elsewhere in the UK and overseas.
