Keswick School - Year 9 EBL Project Presentation Fair
In Year 9 the school runs Enquiry-Based Learning classes and projects. Each student chooses a project on any subject at all, and is then in charge of managing, researching, developing & realising, and finally evaluating it. Each student submits a written report, but then also has to complete an oral presentation. This is done within a “presentation fair” whereby the students set up a stand and visitors, parents/carers and Year 8 EBL students are invited to attend. In order to add importance and kudos (for the students) to the event they hope to invite interested employers. Would you or any of your contacts/colleagues/apprentices be willing to act as influential and important guests?
2 sessions on Friday 27th April from 11.00 – 12.00pm and then 2.00 – 3.00pm. It would involve attending for the session and going around chatting/talking to the students about their projects. You would be given an assessment sheet with a number of students to evaluate and give your opinion as to their project, their oral skills, their passion, management, evaluation etc. It won’t be very onerous and there will be refreshments and cake available.
The school hopes to attract at least 10 employers per session please.
Registration is required for this event. Please contact email@example.com with details of who will be attending this event.
