Site Tour Hinkley Point C

Somerset Chamber has partnered with EDF to deliver a number of free site tours of Hinkley Point C. The event will also include networking, a presentation and the opportunity to explore the Hinkley Point Visitor Centre.

EDF is building the first new nuclear power station in the UK for a generation at Hinkley Point in Somerset.

Hinkley Point C will be the first new nuclear power station in a generation and over the next 18 months alone, Britain’s largest low-carbon energy project at Hinkley Point C will create 3,000 new jobs it approaches peak construction, with around 15,000 people expected to be building the new power station.

The growth will create new opportunities for local people to get better skills and jobs with the project.

13:30 Arrive at HPC Cannington Park and Ride

13:45 Board pre-arranged SPS bus and travel to Cannington Court

14:00 Networking session with refreshments on arrival

14:30 Head to Games Room for presentation on the HPC project

14:55 Head to Hinkley Point Visitor Centre to familiarise yourselves with the project

15:15 Depart Hinkley Point Visitor Centre for onward travel to Hinkley Point C for Site Tour

15:40 Arrive at Hinkley Point C (South Plaza)

16:40 Depart Site and travel back to HPC Cannington Park and Ride

16:55 Approximate arrival at HPC Cannington Park and Ride for safe onward journey

On the day of your visit ALL visitors (aged 18 years and above) are required to produce valid photographic ID, either a current passport or photo driving licence card. If either of the above forms of ID are not available or the details you provide do not match your ID, access to HPC site will be denied.
