With a strong steer towards engaging with the youth of Cumbria the Social Value Delivery Group looks for new ways to educate, engage and brighten the opportunities for local students and young professionals.
Meeting on a monthly basis, this group is co-chaired by Cath Howard and Deborah Naylor. The group created the award winning BECBC Business and Schools Collaboration Programme (BSCP) which is still a huge success.
COVID-19 has demonstrated that now, more than ever, social responsibility needs to play a key role in businesses, with students feeling that everywhere is closed to business with little or no opportunity, and have anxiety about missed exams and restricted future prospects.
If you want to get involved, or have any ideas about how BECBC can engage with the community, please come along to a meeting.
