Cumbria Health (formerly Cumbria Health on Call CHoC) provides primary health care services in and out of hours to the population of Cumbria.
Cumbria Health is a not-for-profit social enterprise that delivers both in-hours and out-of-hours primary care services across Cumbria. We manage six GP practices in rural areas, located in Millom, Kirkby Stephen, Ambleside, Windermere, Alston, and Glenridding. Additionally, we provide the out of hours urgent primary care services in Penrith, Carlisle, Wigton, Whitehaven, Kendal, and Barrow all year round. We offer a range of services designed to support marginalised groups facing health inequalities. These include asylum seeker clinics, clinics and group sessions at men’s and women’s hostels, health checks for farmers and agricultural workers at auction marts, and comprehensive physical and mental health assessments for individuals with serious mental illnesses. We also provide a range of other services that enhance access to healthcare for a variety of groups.
