BEC is owned by the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, Copeland and Allerdale Borough Council and Cumbria County Council, and we work closely with several local partners including Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership. Westlakes Science Park
Set in rolling parkland and featuring an architecturally-diverse mix of buildings around a vibrant, community hub, we’re proud to say that the park is home to some of Europe’s brightest minds and most dynamic businesses. Already a cutting-edge development, we have even bigger plans for Westlakes. We’re looking to take it off-grid for all its electricity requirements, by developing a microgrid that will generate and store electricity from renewable sources.
Blencathra Business Centre
