Amentum appoints senior vice president for Energy & Environment – International
Amentum has appointed Loren Jones as senior vice president for Energy & Environment – International.
The firm said Loren would leverage more than 20 years of nuclear industry experience together with the vision and drive to lead Amentum’s growth and success in the United Kingdom, France, Central and Eastern Europe, Australia, Japan and internationally.
The firm employs around 900 people in Cumbria.
Mark Whitney, president of Amentum’s energy & environment business, said: “Loren’s collaborative leadership style empowers teams to excel.
“He will maintain our commitment to delivering exceptional results for our clients and successfully executing our growth strategy.”
Loren was previously senior vice president (operations) for Energy & Environment – International.
He said: “Energy & environment is a great business with huge opportunities ahead of us in all our markets and geographies.
“It’s a privilege to lead so many talented people at such an exciting time for the industries and communities where we work.”
Before joining Amentum in 2022, Loren was a board member at Cavendish Nuclear with broad responsibility for business development, bidding and marketing and accountability for both operations and growth in North America and Japan.
He began his career with Westinghouse’s nuclear fuels business in the UK and has also held managerial positions with Nuvia and Hyde Group.
Last month, Amentum announced plans to create 3,000 new jobs in the UK over the next four years to meet growing demand from clients in the nuclear power and defence sectors.
