Announced today: £6.23 million in Scottish Government funding for Celtic Renewables
The Scottish Government has today confirmed £6.23 million in funding that will support the planning and development of our £120 million industrial-scale biorefinery at Grangemouth.
Celtic Renewables is one of the first companies to receive investment from the Scottish Government to spearhead the establishment of a low-carbon industrial hub in Grangemouth.
The new facility will be 10x the capacity of our existing plant and will allow us to meet the significant global demand for bio-based chemicals.
The project is expected to create 149 new jobs in Grangemouth by 2030, including highly skilled roles across science, technology and manufacturing.
This investment forms part of a £8.5 million package supporting organisations across the Grangemouth area.
We’re proud to be at the forefront of Scotland’s leading bioeconomy and this investment from the Scottish Government is a significant recognition of the work we are doing for Scotland’s green economy.
