Actemium UK are continuing their trusted partnership with Sellafield Ltd on a new nuclear refurbishment project

Actemium UK are pleased to share that they have commenced delivery of another project for Sellafield, supporting the refurbishment of Motor Control Centre (MCC) starter trays within one of the site’s nuclear decommissioning facilities.

These safety‑critical MCCs control, protect, and isolate the electric motors that drive essential on‑site equipment - including pumps, fans, conveyors, and other process machinery.

In the nuclear sector, maintaining the highest standards of reliability is non-negotiable. That is why proactive, rather than reactive intervention, is a core operational priority. It ensures equipment integrity, reduces unplanned outages, and supports the safe, continuous operation of vital plant systems.

These legacy withdrawable trays will be retrofitted by the Actemium ICS team in Gloucester, with components replaced by modern equivalents from the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), improving reliability, maintainability and long-term performance.

Actemium UK are delighted to have secured this project through their strong technical capability, robust project management and trusted customer service.
