NDA announces Magnox CEO appointment
The NDA has announced that following a competitive recruitment process, Rob Fletcher has been appointed as permanent CEO of Magnox Ltd.
The Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) has announced that following a competitive recruitment process, Rob Fletcher has been appointed as permanent CEO of Magnox Ltd to lead the business forward in executing its important missions for the UK.
Rob has been undertaking the role of interim CEO since May 2023 and has already made a significant contribution to Magnox and the wider NDA group.
David Peattie, NDA group CEO said:
I’m pleased that Rob has been successful in securing the Magnox CEO role on a permanent basis. Rob is a hugely experienced nuclear professional and has already brought these skills to bear to drive Magnox as it decommissions some of the UK’s most complex nuclear plants and grows to take on its new missions.

Rob has already made a significant contribution to Magnox and Dounreay, getting to know the business, its challenges and successes. As we continue our focus on safely, securely and sustainably decommissioning the UK’s nuclear legacy across the Magnox and Dounreay sites, Rob will additionally concentrate on our future missions taking on EDF’s AGR stations as they defuel.
