NRL Recruitment shortlisted for Recruiter Awards 2026
NRL Recruitment has been named a finalist in the Recruiter Awards 2026, marking its second industry awards
shortlist in one month. The recognition follows the business being shortlisted for the Global Recruiter Awards
2026 earlier this year.
NRL has been named a finalist in the Recruitment Agency of the Year: 50–99 Employees category. Its
submission highlighted the role of social value in demonstrating the business’s commitment to improving
perceptions of the recruitment sector. NRL teams work with local schools, colleges and regional education
initiatives to deliver STEM outreach and help students build interview confidence. The work has also helped
students access opportunities in the engineering workforce.
NRL also highlighted the progress it has made against its strategic goals in recent years. This includes
expanding its recruitment and compliance expertise globally, strengthening operations in the North East of
England, and increasing its support for clients delivering net zero and green energy engineering projects.
This growth has increased market share and expanded NRL’s customer base, with new expertise developed in
sectors such as hydrogen, carbon capture and storage. It follows extensive work to introduce innovative
solutions and deliver a higher-value service to clients through Recruitment Process Outsourcing, sole supply,
managed vendor and Employer of Record solutions.
Staff retention and satisfaction were also central to the judging criteria, with NRL’s submission demonstrating a
strong culture of development, welfare and wellbeing. In 2025, 40% of colleagues received training, almost
10% were promoted, and 12 colleagues received long service awards. More than a third of the workforce has
been with the business for over 10 years.
David Redmayne, CEO of NRL Group, said the recognition reflected the commitment and expertise of
colleagues across the business.
“Thanks to the expertise of our teams, and their appetite to advance our service capability, we’re seeing
significant progress against our strategic goals. That includes the financial progress that allows us to continue
bringing new clients and colleagues on board, as well as the social value impact we are making.
We value our colleagues’ opinions and ideas. As a family-owned business, we want to ensure everyone’s voice
is heard, because our people deliver our services every day and see first-hand how we can continue to make a
difference in the industries we support. Being nominated for the Recruiter Awards this year is a proud moment
for all of us, and we’re pleased to be heading to London twice this year to celebrate among the industry’s best
agencies.”
Winners of the Recruiter Awards 2026 will be revealed on Tuesday 22nd September 2026.
