NRL’s overseas operations secure Global Recruiter Industry Award shortlist
NRL Recruitment are celebrating securing a position as a finalist in the Global Recruiter Industry Awards 2026 after developing their international services in over 40 countries.
Shortlisted in the Best UK Overseas Operation category of the annual awards, businesses needed to evidence their in-depth knowledge of the countries they deliver services in, as well as their approach to customer service and candidate experience to earn a coveted place as a finalist.
The Global Recruiter Industry Awards provide a recognisable benchmark of excellence for delivering recruitment and people solutions and celebrate those businesses who are leading the way each year.
For NRL’s team, their sustained expansion of recruitment, workforce management and mobilisation services across the globe has centred around compliance and personal delivery. Ensuring they have the in-house experience and external support from trusted partners, to navigate complex local regulatory compliance and employment law, whilst removing the risk for their clients.
To achieve this, the organisation has invested in recruiting consultants with the personal experience and diverse language base to understand the needs of their candidates and clients. This approach has led to not only year on year financial growth but also increases in the number of countries they support and workers they manage on hire – including a 45% upturn in active contractors in 2025. NRL’s global footprint has also increased, establishing in-country entities in Spain, Germany and Saudi Arabia.
NRL’s International Development Director Will Fossey feels this strategic growth in key global regions resonated with the judging panel.
“In recent years we’ve carefully considered where we can add value for our clients, from the countries we expand into, to the services we deliver. As such we’ve evolved our business to create bespoke solutions for each of their requirements, from a fully compliant employer of record offering to global mobilisation that manages every area of logistics and mandatory documentation. This strategic focus has helped strengthen our international operations and expand our service capability. Recognisable, global businesses entrust us to support their international expansion plans, and we’re privileged to partner with them.
Our overseas operations play an important role in the NRL Group’s long-term growth strategy, so it’s rewarding to see the hard work consistently delivered by the team reflected in this Global Recruiter Industry Award shortlist.”
The winners of the Best UK Overseas Operation category will be revealed at Global Recruiter’s annual awards ceremony on 9th September.
