Prima Uno secure a Cost Engineering and Planning Framework at Dounreay Site Restoration Limited (DSRL)
Prima Uno secured a two-year Cost Engineering and Planning Framework at Dounreay Site Restoration Limited (DSRL) which is Britain’s most ambitious nuclear site closure programme.
Prima Uno will be providing cost engineer and planning resources who will bring industry wide experience and expertise. Prima Uno personnel and DSRL project team will work as a fully integrated team.
Not only will Prima Uno be supporting DSRL with best practice, but Prima Uno is going to set up a Project Controls Centre of Excellence and employ a local Cost Engineer and Planning apprentice to work on the DSRL site. These apprentices would gain a qualification accredited by ECITB and ACOSTE.
Prima Uno started a Project Controls Centre of Excellence in Cumbria in 2014 and have a wealth of experience and dedicated mentors who will support this scheme on DSRL Projects.
DSRL said it looked forward to working with Prima Uno to enhance its programme office.

To start a Centre of Excellence in Thurso will be wonderful and will put something back in the local area. We hope to work with local colleges and DSRL to take on one Cost Engineer and one Planning apprentice for every year we have this contract. This framework is another new growth area for Prima Uno and we aim to provide an exceptional service as we do to all clients. We will bring valuable learning from experience from our other major projects. I am looking forward to working with the team at Dounreay.
