Skills Bootcamps course in Lean Manufacturing launched by Lakes College
A NEW course designed to provide a 'taster' for new entrants in the business improvement arena has been launched by Lakes College.
The college has developed a Skills Bootcamps course in Lean Manufacturing which is available with a heavy discount of between 70 and 90 per cent for employers and free for learners who meet certain criteria.
The standalone programme covers the full scope of initiating, planning and conducting a business improvement activity in an organisation and provides the candidates with insights into the range of tools that can be used to improve business operations.
It adopts a blended approach to learning; combining face to face practical sessions with online tutorials and coaching sessions that further underpin the theory and practice they have acquired.
Studying the course costs £2,998 per learner but that figure is heavily reduced for large employers by 70 per cent to just £899.40.
Micro, small and medium employers earn an even greater reduction of 90 per cent, making the course fantastic value for money at £299.80.
The training is free for individuals who are:
- aged over 19
- working, unemployed in the last 12 months or looking for work (e.g. coming back into the workforce after a career break)
- resident in the UK and legally entitled to work in the UK
The course is also free for learners who are in work but not sponsored by their employer.
The course will start on Tuesday June 6th, Wednesday June 7th and Thursday June 8th 2023 and run for 10 weeks.
A GCSE Grade 4 or above in English is preferable in order for learners to study the course.
Lakes College has recently delivered Skills Bootcamps courses in welding, CAD, cyber, construction plant, joinery and PLCs.
