The information from government departments and their arm’s length bodies covers:
- how much they have procured over the 2024 to 2025 financial year in line with steel public procurement guidance (PPN 022)
Procurement pipeline 2026
The steel pipeline shows that around 7.7 million tonnes of steel will be needed over the coming years on infrastructure projects for:
- maintaining and upgrading of the UK’s motorway network
- maintaining our railways
- the construction of schools
