Empower your future with a Nuclear Bursary

Build your future in one of the UK’s most vital and fast-growing sectors. The Nuclear Bursary is designed to help break down barriers to training and open up opportunities for people ready to take the next step into a career in nuclear.

Funded through the Nuclear Skills Plan and delivered by the National Skills Academy for Nuclear (NSAN), this bursary supports people who need extra help to access study or training linked to the UK nuclear industry.

 

What the bursary offers

 

Financial Support

Successful applicants will receive financial support to help them achieve their goals, along with access to industry-leading resources, mentoring and training support.

Training Opportunities

The bursary is part of the wider ambition of the Nuclear Skills Plan to strengthen the UK’s pipeline of talent and ensure people from all backgrounds can access opportunities in the nuclear sector.

Mentoring

Mentoring provides invaluable guidance, confidence, and industry insights, helping you navigate your career path and unlock your full potential.

 

Who can apply?

You must be aged 18 or over.

You must have the right to live and work in the UK.

The bursary is aimed at school leavers, students, adult learners and career changers pursuing study or training linked to the UK nuclear industry.

It is intended to support people facing financial or personal barriers to progression, including low household income, eligibility for means-tested benefits, or living in areas of high deprivation or low participation in further or higher education.

Applications are welcomed from people from all backgrounds, especially those who may not otherwise have access to financial support.
