Applications are now open to join the BECBC Board.
The board meets for 2 hours on a Friday morning every 2 months and board members are expected to attend
All directors are responsible for:
• Constructive challenge and help in developing proposals on strategy
• Scrutiny of management’s performance in meeting agreed goals and objectives
• Monitoring performance reports
• Satisfying themselves on the integrity of financial information and that controls and risk management systems are robust and defensible
All directors are required to support the operations of the Company when required:
• Additional capacity needed to balance the increased workload when requested
• More direct support needed from the Board to support events or initiatives, when requested
Director’s Charter – the expectations placed on each of the directors:
• Attend 67% of Board Meetings
• Attend 50% of Networx Meetings
• Attend 10% Sector Groups
• Support the Emergency Plan (when needed)
• Support member engagements (if you have a pre-existing relationship)
• Support BECBC communications and media strategy
• Support strategy development and delivery
• Be an advocate for BECBC when in other meetings/ forums and feed information back

Applicants must work for a BECBC Member organisation. The new Director will be appointed for a period of 3 years.
