We'll explore the 3 themes of Sustainability through our sector group lens exploring economics, social and environmental.
Our first panel session will focus on economics and will be hosted by Jo Telfer, Chair of our Organisational Health for Performance Group asking ‘Is there really a link between organisational culture and the economic health of an organisation?- what has been your experience?’ On the panel will be Peter Fleming from Peter Fleming Business Consultancy, Andrew Booth from Align Property Partners and James Spark from SP Training, who were recently shortlisted in the Growing Business category of our #BECBCawards23.
In our second panel session we'll focus on Environmental with John McGibbon, Chair of our Nuclear Group, asking "What hints and tips would you give an organisation looking to take their first steps to become more environmentally friendly and what measurement tools they could use” On the panel we'll have Issy Shannon from Pile Fuel Cladding Silo (PFCS), winners of our Environmental category in the #BECBCawards23, joined by Kate Houlden from LIKE Technologies who were shortlisted for the same category and Karen Mitchell from Cumbria Action for Sustainability (CAfS)
As we move to our third pillar of Sustainability, Social, Cath Howard and Deborah Naylor who co-chair our Social Value group will post the question " “What is your business already doing around Social Impact and how can a business measure their contribution in a way that’s easy for them”. Panel members will be Trudy Beetham from Forth Engineering and Kayleigh Daniels from React Engineering who were both shortlisted in the Social Value category of the #BECBCAwards23 alongside Josh Toner from Sunbelt Rentals.
