We are delighted to inform you that the UK’s Department for Business and Trade (DBT) in partnership with Midlands Region, is bringing a UK Hydrogen Trade Mission to India from 4th- 8th December 2023.
The delegation will be aligned with Hydrogen Association of India’s (HAI) 10th edition of Hydrogen Conference which will be held in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh from the 4th-5th December 2023. We will also be organising a 3 day curated visit programme for the delegates, covering the cities of New Delhi and Mumbai from 6th to 8th December, 2023. HAI’s Hydrogen conference is one of the largest Hydrogen focused events in India and is attended by many key contacts from leading companies both in private and government sector.
The announcement of India’s National Hydrogen Policy and subsequently making National Green Hydrogen Mission (NGHM) operational, India is aiming to have 5 MMTPA Green Hydrogen production capacity by 2030. NGHM is aimed at developing India’s hydrogen ecosystem, by facilitating demand creation (from hard to abate industries like refineries, cement, steel, fertilizer), production and utilisation.
To support and promote UK companies, we at DBT will help secure a delegate pass, speaking slot and networking opportunities at the conference. In addition to this, we would be offering a tailor made visit programme in Delhi and Mumbai introducing you to key contacts from Dec 6th to 8th, 2023 followed by a networking dinner. Details of the draft program and the visit can be viewed in the attached flyer (DBT-Hydrogen Trade Mission to India Dec 2023 - Flyer).
The event is open to all UK companies, including those with local offices in India. We are looking to recruit 7-10 companies, limited to 1 delegate per company. Recruitment process will depend on the basis of best fit or first-come-first-serve basis in case of a tie. Delegates are responsible for their own flight bookings and related costs plus hotel costs. We will share the name of shortlisted hotel for each city. We would highly appreciate if delegates could please stay at the same hotel for ease of coordination and logistics support on intra-city travel.
Note: Participation for the event will depend on your application to join the delegation by filling the ‘Expression of Interest’ form attached with this email. DBT will go through the applications and select the most appropriate companies to join this delegation. Please send your Expression of Interest form to: Ms. Madhumita Pyne Madhumita.Pyne@fcdo.gov.uk
Your participation in the event will be a great opportunity for you to meet with Indian companies operating in the Hydrogen sector and to explore further business prospects. Please feel free to connect with us should you have any questions.
Looking forward to having you join us.
