UCLan has strong roots in West Cumbria, not just because of the Westlakes Campus and it's strong history of nuclear and health provision, but as regular attendees at BEC Business Cluster. The University understands the necessity for strong links with the business community to support the skills agenda in West Cumbria and the important part business networking plays in that.
UCLan’s Westlakes Campus provides University Education and business support to Britain’s Energy Coast. Courses include part time CPD, Foundation Degrees, Bachelor’s Degrees and Post Graduate programmes in a range of nuclear and non-nuclear subjects. Business support is provided through our incubation programme, knowledge transfer partnerships, Cumbria Growth Hub, Enhance and More projects.
We're here looking for:
To connect with businesses to ensure they are aware of our support packages if appropriate & to inform our future curriculum in facing the potential skills shortage in West Cumbria.
We also love to have a cuppa & a chat so if you see us at the Cluster please say hello, we love meeting new people.
