The European Spallation Source (ESS) will be the world’s most powerful neutron source and it is currently under construction in Lund, Sweden. See the ESS website: https://www.europeanspallationsource.se
The scope is to find a service provider to act as external safety advisor for the transport of dangerous goods – all carriers and classes – for ESS, to provide all necessary knowledge, procedures and templates to send and receive dangerous goods at ESS headquarters, based in Lund, Sweden; occasional exceptions may occur. Transport of goods is expected between various countries in the European Union, and UK USA Japan and others. Transport needs include ‘class 7’ radioactive goods, from samples (vials) to radioactive waste (custom-made containers).
ESS is looking for info on:
- How the provider would approach the role, references to similar work.
- Solutions, approximate cost estimates (in EUR or SEK (Swedish Krona)) and timeframes for delivery of services.
There is an option to present your proposal to ESS (max 30 minutes and 15 minutes for questions). If you would like to present, please indicate your interest in presenting in your response.
